Tadri Lighthouse was originally under Karnataka Port Department and was non-functional since long time.The lighthouse was taken over by DGLL in the year 2006 for improvement/reestablishment.Tadri Lighthouse is situated near Gokarna in Uttar Kannada district on Karnataka state.Gokarna is a famous tourist place and the lighthouse is situated about 10 kms from Gokarna.The Lighthouse is Hexagonal Masonry Tower of height 10mtrs.The Lighthouse operation is through Automation system.The Lighthouse serves as an aid to navigation to mariners and local fishermen.
